The Internet isn’t really a technology, it’s a belief system - a philosophy.

- Joi Ito

We would do good to remember this more often instead of taking it all for granted. Many people worked hard to ensure that the internet stays open, free and accessible to everyone. Recently, many companies and governments are trying to crack down on the internet. But the internet just didn’t give us the ability to communicate, it redefined what we understand as ‘free speech’. With that it also gave us new responsibilities. It is up to us to ensure that we can keep the internet as free and open as we like it. With great power comes great responsibility.
