It all started with me wanting to start blogging again. It shouldn’t be that hard, you would think.
But it was.
The first problem was the name. A catchy name is a must, right? So I’ve started soul searching for one. Wasn’t that easy and it took me month to come up with wiredvanity. And no, I’m not getting into details about the meaning of it.
Then came the second problem: The theme. Tumblr wasn’t my first choice for a platform. I’ve been a wordpress guy for years and I usually installed it on my own server. I am pretty sure, that I’ve tested every viable theme for wordpress and none of them just worked from the get go for me.
The third problem is my work. It was always very time consuming, but it never as time consuming as it is now. The financial crises is doing a number on all of us and being in the communication business isn’t always a good thing when companies are starting to take a very close look at every penny they are spending. On the flip side: It’s a very good time to talk about Social Media.
Well anyway.
It is kind of David’s fault, that I’m on tumblr now. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve known and used tumblr before, but it somehow didn’t occurred to me as a platform that I can use for my private blog. But now it is and I’m counting on sticking around for a while.
Ah, and here is why I called this post “Just start.”: well, thing is, tumblr is a very good place just to start blogging. And that’s good, because I think that I’ve been somehow avoiding to start blogging, because I’ve imagined it to be easy and very hard at the same time. So don’t make the same mistake and just start.
